Scientific Agenda

The 2017 Conference will highlight the importance of basic, clinical, and population science collaborations to address minority health and health disparities.

The 2017 Conference is designed to create a forum for a multidisciplinary, collaborative, and intellectual exchange. This meeting presents research opportunities to share new and innovative approaches, develop the next generation of biomedical scientists, and extend the reach and visibility of communities whose interest is improving health outcomes.

The agenda will include invited keynote/plenary lectures by nationally recognized scholars, oral and poster presentations, and technical workshops for investigators, trainees, clinicians, and community partners.

Target Audience

The 2017 Conference attendees will include the communities of scientists, health care practitioners, trainees, clinicians, pharmacists, nurses and other allied healthcare professionals, and community and industry partners. Attendees will discuss and develop research strategies and approaches for eliminating health disparities, discuss best methods for training, examine career development opportunities, and engage community partners and industry collaborations that create meaningful inclusion of minorities in clinical trials.
