Phenomenal Women donate $500k to Morehouse School of Medicine Presidential Scholarship Fund – Mrs. Billye Aaron and a group of prestigious women volunteers presented Morehouse School of Medicine with a gift of $500,000 for student scholarships during a special event that marked the official kick off of MSM inaugural events.

In a beautiful spirit-filled formal ceremony, Dr. Montgomery Rice was officially invested as the sixth president of MSM. Dr. Montgomery Rice paid tribute to the legacy of MSM and articulated her 21st Century Vision for furthering the school's mission of becoming the recognized leader in the creation of health equity. As part of the inauguration of Dr. Montgomery Rice, Morehouse School of Medicine faculty, staff, students, and friends took to the street to volunteer in the Atlanta Community. MSM was joined by volunteers from Porsche and Wells Fargo as teams worked in The Good Shepard West End Community Garden, E.L. Conally Elementary School, Truly Living Well Community Garden, and Junior Achievement Biz Center. All activities were dedicated to increasing the health and wellness of the Atlanta community. Hundreds of children and families enjoyed a day-long health fair on the campus of Morehouse School of Medicine. Guests participated in a full day of activities including health screenings, fitness demonstrations, a CoverGirl® #GirlsCan Women's Empowerment Town Hall, and conversation on leadership and health disparities with Planned Parenthood president, Cecile Richards.
