ABOUT THE SUMMIT The Summit will assess the contributions of Genomics/Genome Informatics, Social/Environmental Determinants of Health, and Data Science to the current state of Health Disparities Research and forge new strategies to extend and strengthen these disciplines for even greater impact in the effort to better understand unique parameters associated with Minority Health and the resolution of Health Disparities.

Attendees will have opportunities to learn and/or develop an enhanced appreciation of the:
  • Critical factors associated with the genomic contribution to observed disparities associated with selected diseases;
  • Role of genomics in disparate response to therapeutic treatments;
  • Importance of social and environmental disparity that contribute to disparities in health status; and
  • Insight into how the wealth of data in de-identified EHR data may be explored to yield information that is useful in better understanding health parameters associated with minority populations.
