This Morehouse School of Medicine Summit is hosted by the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Surgery. The Summit will address community solutions to interpersonal violence. Research findings, evidence-based strategies, and best practices shared during this one-day conference will enhance the capacity of local communities, with the collaboration of key stakeholders in academia, public health and social service agencies, justice departments, and healthcare systems, to mitigate the impact of interpersonal violence, improve needed healthcare services, and implement effective, sustainable approaches aimed at preventing community violence.
