The Gulf States Health Policy Center (GS-HPC) is hosting a one-day symposium titled, Health Policy Affects Health Outcomes: Community Determinants of Health, in Washington, D.C. on April 30, 2018. This event will introduce a theme issue of the journal, Progress in Community Health Partnerships, which highlights community and academic partnership in health policy research. The symposium will engage leaders from community, academic, and policy arenas to explore strategies for working collaboratively to improve health in our communities.
